Jul 17, 2020 AT&T uverse blocking VPN (cisco anyconnect) My VPN (cisco anyconnect) worked fine for months, now it just stopped working and I get this message 'the service provider in your current location is restricting access to the internet. You need to log on with the service provider before you can establish a VPN session.' Aug 30, 2018 Right-click the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client log, and select Save Log File as AnyConnect.evt. Note: Always save it as the.evt file format. If the user cannot connect with the AnyConnect VPN Client, the issue might be related to an established Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) session or Fast User Switching enabled on the client PC. Perhaps you could have your customer try to connect with the Cisco AnyConnect SSL VPN instead to compare? Its also strange that the user would be allowed to complete the tunnel if all the communication is getting blocked. Normally if VZW was going to block the content it would be blocked before the VPN connection was made and not after.

Cisco Anyconnect Vpn Stops Internet Connection In Windows 10
Chatter and natter
This error can occur if you have certain versions of Kaspersky Anti-Virus (or Kaspersky Internet Security) installed and is a known issue with Kaspersky and the AnyConnect client. This issue can be resolved by configuring an exception in Kaspersky to trust the Cisco AnyConnect client.
Test whether Kaspersky is blocking the VPN session
- Temporarily stop Kaspersky by right clicking on the Kaspersky icon in the task bar and select Pause Protection.
- In the Pause protection window click on Resume protection in...1 minute.
- Try connecting to the VPN Network Service whilst Kaspersky is temporarily stopped.
If the VPN session can now be successfully established then Kaspersky is blocking the establishment of the VPN session, and this can be resolved by adding the Cisco AnyConnect client as a trusted application to Kaspersky.

Adding the AnyConnect client as a trusted application to Kaspersky
In order for the Cisco AnyConnect client to successfully establish a VPN session, it needs to be added as a trusted application to Kaspersky. (The following instructions are for configuring Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6, but should provide a guide for configuring other Kaspersky versions.)
