Traditional Post Box

This does not affect your statutory rights. Crafted in Powder Coated Steel. Wonderfully practical and looks good too! The red telephone box, a telephone kiosk for a public telephone designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, is a familiar sight on the streets of the United Kingdom, Malta, Bermuda and Gibraltar. Despite a reduction in their numbers in recent years, the traditional British red telephone kiosk can still be seen in many places throughout the UK, and in current or former British colonies around the world.

Traditional Post Boxes Uk

Traditional post box ireland
Designed and manufactured by ourselves, our post boxes present an elegant and practical solution for deliveries of post where front doors prevent the fitting of a normal letter box. It is also the most practical solution for the end of a driveway in rural areas.

Traditional English Post Box

Our post boxes are made to a traditional design in quality aluminium throughout, so they don’t rust. The sides and back of the post boxes are made up of aluminium panel and extrusion. The lift-up, lockable front door is cast, and can be personalised with your own wording, such as your house name and/or number and one of our emblems from our extensive range. The top, including the lift-up lid, is also cast and can either have the word POST on it or left plain.
The advantage of having your house name or number on your post box is that it can double up as a house-sign.
As a cheaper option, you may prefer to choose from one of our attractive range of standard door designs. The advantage of one of these is that you could take it with you if you move.
The durable powder-coated finish is available in black,
white, blue, green, red or brown. The lettering is
hand-painted in white or gold, or in the case of a white
background, black. The emblems are painted by hand in
beautiful enamel colours.
Our post boxes with standard door designs are normally
kept in stock in black and the emblems are painted in
standard colours.
Both sizes have a capacity large enough to take letters, packages and daily papers, or even a telephone directory. If you receive a lot of mail or the larger newspapers, our larger post box may be just the answer.

From time to time we manufacture limited editions, when only a few of a particular design are made. These may be worthwhile asking about if you are looking for something just a little different but don’t necessarily need a personalised post box.

The cast aluminium lid of the post box incorporates a slot and lifting flap, making bending or folding of the mail unnecessary. Postmen have reported that they prefer our post boxes because they are quick and easy to use. Retrieval of mail is also straightforward...simply unlock and lift the front door.

The quality five disc tumbler lock on the front door helps to
keep your mail secure. Two numbered keys are supplied.

Installation is simple, with four fixing holes in the back panel to allow mounting onto any flat, even surface, such as a wall or fence. Screws are supplied but, as with any fixing, it is the responsibility of the installer to ensure they are suitable for the purpose.
